Global variable ERROR

glob variables don’t work on custom DCA - once we use glob variables in the BO (because is not a number) we get this error on the DCA even if we enter an actual number way higher than 1 (see example below)

Bug details: When sending the pairs

  • Bot URL → Can’t save the bot wirh errors
  • [Optional] Steps to reproduce → add glob var in the BO then add the same or a different glob var in a custom DCA
  • Expected result → glob var should not return an error becasue it’s a value on itsefl

We have received your bug report regarding the global variable error in custom DCA, and we appreciate the detailed information and screenshots you provided. We will investigate this issue and provide an update shortly. Thank you for reporting this!

Also, it will be very useful if we can save the global variables information for when we export and import the bot settings via JSON

Global variables are not shareable. When you export JSON, latest values are set instead of variables.

I thought was a A or B value - if the variable A (global var) isn’t available THEN use variable B (actual value) - thanks for looking into it

bo

I followed the steps you described, created var the same as you have, but not able to reproduce. Tried both custom and indicator. You said about DCA custom, but in your screenshot is DCA indicators.
If you copying bot, can you send the original one?

I was able to replicate it

https://app.gainium.io/bot/684065ee44edf3b1e6ec319c
export this bot as json then import it back into a new bot - change the BO with a glob variable - then go down and change any DCA order size - you should get that error

I imported the bot via JSON and there is probably where it messed about

I tested the same bot but long and it didn’t give me any errors

base

Cannot reproduce from my side.

If you will encounter problem with imp/exp you can try to duplicate the bot
