Hard one to explain, but if you’re in Safari on iPhone and the login triggers an email, when you go to email app on iPhone and click the link, it opens in the Mail built in browser which then uses the login link.
When you go back to Safari app, it isn’t logged in. I tried copying the link from Mail, but just tap and hold the link opens it for preview and that’s enough to consume the link.
The in-browser safari might not share the same cache as the normal safari. It would be best to to press and hold in the link, there might be an option to open the link directly in normal safari.
Thanks. Unfortunately Yahoo mail seems to execute the link as you tap and hold which is really insecure functionality actually. Anyway that’s enough to trigger the link use. No worries, the native Mail app works by opening Safari direct.
Yep, seems a limitation of Yahoo Mail app, and the preview tip they suggest triggers the Gainium login link usage immediately, so cannot be reused in Safari. Hence switching back to Mail app
