Bankroll not counting all liquidity

Hi there,

I’m trying to fully understand the bankroll (coz it’s back where it disappeared for a while in the past).

As far as I can understand, it’s all quote related like free quote and quote on order (buy or sell).

Problem is that some liquidity aside that are simply skipped. For example, for bybit, I’m only using usdc and some base. Looking at account total value, it’s not matching the usdc bankroll. It is supposed to be normal coz some base exists and are not in any order (free base).

Thinking about that, I’m wondering why we count the free quote but not the free base? Because of that, total can’t match the bankroll. Maybe we should consider doing something to fix / avoid that? It would become more logical.

Thx

The bankroll looks at the coins that your bots will need, quote for longs and base for shorts. It should match what you have in the exchange but the bankroll is not updated in real time, so there could be a delay if you move or trade funds.

I don’t quite understand what you mean here. Are you talking about not matching the quote or the base?

I mean when looking at total account VS bankroll, the difference (usdc VS my total on bybit) is about 500 usd, which is normal coz some XRP and mainly LINK are unused by bot and so not counted.

I just think it would be nice to find all the liquidity through the bankroll, not just a big part of it missing some =like those LINK currently free).

Maybe it’s not a good idea .
Maybe we should add free base (long) and free quote (short)? So all liquidity would be displayed.

I think that wouldn’t be the function of the bankroll. The bankroll’s aim is to have a way of seeing how overextended are your bots and hence how much risk are you taking. Showing liquidity for all coins wouldn’t make much sense and besides you can see total value chart in the dashboard for that purpose.

You right, but having a total of all aside, still looks interesting to me. In fact, I guess I love stats and not that much for now.
