Something is going wrong last night and today with my Plankton bots on a real account with Coinbase, but the paper account is fine. Occasionally a long bot on a particular pair will open a deal a minute until it runs out of funds or hits 200 max deals. In weeks of running the most I’ve ever seen is 23 deals at once, and typically it’s 15 or less. Opening 1 deal a minute and hitting 200 is very different behavior from weeks of observation, and it’s not happening on the paper account. Last night it was ABT-USD and I suspended the bots before going to bed. Today it is AIOZ-USD and only the two long bots (one profits in USD, the other in base), the short bots are fine. Here are the bot links. I’ve had to suspend them because I’ve run out of USD to fund them further. The same bots on a paper account are not opening more than 5 or so deals in comparison.
Also, when stopping the bot and canceling orders, there are remaining orders that I have to cancel myself manually.
PRIME-USD just started doing the same thing and now has 60 deals open on the two long bots, but only on the real account.
Looks like the bot ignoring dynamic filter.
While I will investigate it, if you will create new bots - try to create them from scratch, not by copying or importing.
I’ve got 196 bots and the website is running quite sluggish and slow this morning. It would take hours, probably a whole day, to recreate them. Why would it be the real account only?
I don’t have answer yet. There were no changes in this part. Could be something different in settings between paper and real
Interesting that it just started last night. The bot settings and the account settings haven’t changed to my knowledge. I figured maybe it is something on Coinbase’s end with their API or something that changed recently.
Here are a couple links to the PRIME-USD bots that opened 60 deals recently, but then seems to have settled there. They are still running live and maybe have some useful information to look at:
I had to delete the PRIME and AIOZ bots so the links won’t work anymore. I got an email that I was using too many server resources. I deleted the entire paper account as well, so hopefully that will let the other 188 bots run OK. I can’t remove any more filters or upgrade my plan any higher, and I’d like to cover more of the market and more pairs, not cut it back more.
I deleted all the bots on the real account and created some new ones from scratch (not an import or a copy). I set max open deals to 25 on the new bots. Two are already opening a deal about every minute and seem to be ignoring the 2% dynamic filter:
I have identify the problem. Its in base order price of the deals from our side. When base order market and buy and not fully filled there could be problems with calcualting avg filled price. In you deals entry price is not correct, and because dynamic price filters based on entry price so it tries to open deal every minute.
Fix will be deployed ASAP.
I can help you restore all deleted bots if needed. Let me know.
Thanks for finding and fixing it!!! I don’t need any bots restored, I made some changes and added a global variable for max deals so I’m happy with the current bots.
