Bueller, Bueller..I mean Kraken, Kraken

I feel like that 80’s movie on here. Kraken was already supposed to be added, but has not.
Kraken? Kraken?

No answer of course. I have started to expect that.

Gainium is a small team and they are already doing quite a lot of efforts to do the best for the community. I believe that Ares knows what’s the best for making the platform grow and if he thinks that adding Kraken is not a priority for now, don’t push. If you want to use Gainium, you should adapt to what is available and believe that your request will be answered in due time. I suggest to you to reorient your energy on trying to help others and share your experience or strategies :wink:

I have been thinking about what you wrote and I have to disagree. I believe this is a problem in the world today. If a business, organization, or even a child tells you they will do something in a time period, and do not do it, the very least that should happen would be for them to say “I cannot do it now, but it should get done by so and so date”. If you had a child and he said he was taking out the garbage in the morning, but didn’t, and didn’t even come to you and say he was busy and would get to it later, would you just say “Oh well, think about something else and put your energy somewhere else.” Accountability and respect, that is what the world needs more of.

I agree. If a feature was mentioned or even announced to be implemented in a certain time, there should at least be an update if any reasons prevented it. At best combined with an outlook on when it might be resolved. (I am also waiting for “my” auto-scaled safety order volumes that were mentioned to be implemented “next week”.) We certainly cannot expect to get all the features at the same time. But some kind of roadmap would be helpful. Another bot provider promised to deliver features last year and they are still in the works with no new ETA announced.

Yes. I have a lot of respect for Ares and the team for all the hard work and time they have sacrificed to bring this project so far. Coding a bot and going public with it must have been a monumental undertaking. And I agree that a road map would be a great addition.

A roadmap is something that everyone would appreciate but I can also understand why there is no roadmap, deadlines can be hard to achieve depending on so much variables and then if they are not met, people is frustrated and send repetitive messages complaining. Gainium is very functional and I prefer to stick to what’s available. Of course there are things that in my opinion would improve Gainium and at this moment I make requests, but my opinion is not owner’s opinion and they have the full right to do what they want with the requests. With the subscription you are paying for what’s available and not for what’s comming. Complaining does not help, but doing things for the community, indeed, helps

Maybe. But Kraken has so much lower fees. If you don’t live in the USA, then you don’t have to worry about fees. But for everyone that lives in the USA. we only have a few options. Binance.US is falling apart, Coinbase fees are very high, etc. If you prefer to stick with high fees or bad exchanges, then that is your choice. But I would prefer lower fees and great support…as Kraken has. If I had my wish, Kraken would have been added before Coinbase. Think about it…if you are trying to take 1% profit, and exchange fees are high, the price may have to increase 2% or more to make that 1% profit. Why anyone would not want an exchange with lower fees is beyond me.

People outside of US is using “classic” binance or Bybit that have quite competitive fees and even some pairs without fees. I get that your request is important for you (and US people probably) but how much time/work does it take to add a new exchange? Having numerous exchanges already available, is it worth it the investment to do this over other features? We cannot answer these questions, the only ones that can, are the owners and they make priorities.

Adding kraken involves installing krakenex and a couple of other lines to a bot code. It is not that complicated to build a bot that uses it.
import krakenex
import pandas as pd
import pandas_ta as ta
import tkinter as tk
from tkinter import ttk
This imports kraken into a bot. And starts creation of a GUI.
However, to place it online is an entirely new set of skills that I would never touch.
I have built one now, but do not trust my own skills to use a lot of funds with it! LOL
But, in any case, we crypto lovers all have to stick together.
