Bybit min order size broker benefits

My bug topic got closed as not a bug so adding this as a feature request

I have been told for 3rd party brokers Bybit perp offers much lower order sizes than for retail traders.

I have attached my conversation with bybit API support confirming this. Could Gainium as well offer the same low order sizes like 3commas does.
This is extremely useful for combo bots

Thanks

I would think it would be worthwhile to reactivate this within Bug Reports. I regularly get the impression that bugs are closed too quickly as not-bug , but not reopened after additional user comments. This doesn’t solve bugs, it hides them in the community.

Yes, you can send small orders, but we have raised the minimum order in Gainium to 5 USDT or the exchange limit if it is higher.

This is because of rebates, which we get from exchange to support users in the free plan. For us it takes the same server resources to to send an order for 1 USDT than 1M USDT. However, when sending small orders we get so little rebate that the resources used to send the order doesn’t justify it. We will implement it if there are more votes but it will likely be for paid users only.

I think it’s okay to offer smaller orders for paid plans only.

even if its a paid users only features its okay as long as its an option

Is Gainium anywhere closer to achieving this?
Ive checked 3 bot platforms and all of them do smaller order size limits due to their third party broker status

With today’s update. No minimum for paid users.

Will you be able to negotiate with Bybit to get this for all users?

This is not a restriction in bybit side this is on our side. Free users are supported by the rebates we get from the exchange and such small orders are not worth it.

Are users trading under your affiliate link considered free or paid users?

I guess as free users with an extended trading plan for certain exchanges. So you still have the minimum.

It’s considered free. It’s the same principle, afilliate users are supported by exchange rebates.

Atleast min order sizes are now supported so that’s a good outcome
