I’m going to close my deals manually; but need to know what happened.
Closing the deals generated a message that the closed at 3% and only gave me equivalent of 2 DCA orders ($0.3) which is clearing wrong. The profit in the deal view above shows it should have been much higher. But the summary view just shows $0.6 for 2 closed deals.
Something not adding up right. I’ll screenshot everything and show more info soon. But making breakfast at mo
This is odd, we send the TP order to the exchange.
Will check the logs to see what happened.
And bankroll is now showing I’m over, but don’t understand how when it adds up to $1067 which is what I’d expect from my $1000 original bankroll.
Seems to be working now. That PEPE deal closed on its own
Correctly showing bankroll again
I think generally there’s a few minutes after deal close or bot changes where the bankroll is recalculated and shows incorrect results.
During this time it would be good to replace the chart with “Deal/settings changed, recalculating bankroll, please check again in a few minutes “ or similar.
@aressanch Any ideas on why this happened? I feel I’ve lost a bit of confidence to be honest. I was about to deposit more funds to increase the deal count, but I’ll hold off until we know what happened.
The order closed as it was expected, the issue is that the bot didn’t receive the update that the tp order was filled. When something like this happens we suspect the connection to the exchange hang, but in that case all users would be affected. In this case it was only your bot, other users had updates, so we think the issue is on kucoin side.
I any case, if you restart the bot it will query for the status of the orders, so it will detect that it was already filled and update the deal stats.
Ah ok, so if I suspect a deal should have closed but hasn’t, restart the bot?
So when I closed the deals, I wasnt actually closing the right deals? Yeesh, that means I might have been closing in a loss?
It should not happen often, but yes that’s the first thing you can do.
The deal closed before you attempted to close it at the expected 3%. The manual close didn’t have any effect.
Just had a look back at the 2 deals I manually closed, and it’s exactly as you said, the deals had already closed, but the notification didn’t get fired to Telegram until I clicked Close. So that’s cool, it all behaved correctly, just visually didn’t match up.
So a restart of the bot would correct that scenario in future. Cool! Happy again. Bot started and getting ready with my extra funds…
