Difference results between Gainium and Kucoin

I’ve just programmed a combo bot on BTC on Kucoin.

It’s been 24h. Here is the result of the bot from Gainium and from Kucoin perspective.

What would explain the already grid profit from gainium which seems totally fair but from Kucoin perspective it seems I’ve closed and have a negative PNL.

Any ideas ?

We calculate P&L different than exchanges. Most exchanges will give you a consolidated view of the position. Any selling under average price is considered a loss, and any selling over average price a profit.

However in Gainium we treat all orders independently. For example, the price can dip under the average price, hit a buy, then sell on the next level which is still under the average. Kucoin will count that as a loss, but in Gainium we count that as the profit of the buy order.

At the end of the day the realized+unrealized P&L should be similar, as long as you only have one bot in that pair.

Thanks you very much, i understand now
