If you sell and directly buy back a currency that you bought at a higher price, the unrealized loss turns to a realized loss, but the number of coins and the portfolio value don´t change. What it does is make it possible to run a profitable bot using the full budget when the price goes up, instead of just waiting for the unrealized loss to disappear when the price goes up. To me, it sounds MUCH more profitable to sell and buy back to be able to run a bot “on the way up”. What do you say?
you could run short bots on your bags with TP in base
As base keeps getting accumulated more and more at cheaper prices this basically means the avg price of the long deal keeps reducing.
At some point however in the future the price will have to go up for the bag to breakeven.
Months and months of running shorts can have significant impact on reducing the long deal avg price especially if price is just moving up and down in similar range
