Hello, I’m testing Hyperliquid and at the moment I’m using Terminal, where I haven’t had any issues with either BTC or ETH. I also tested Combo on BTC, which doesn’t seem to present any problems, but I’ll reserve judgment until I have more information. I then opened two grid bots — one on ETH, which seems to be working fine both at startup (where it buys the base currency without issues) and while recreating the sell and buy orders according to the price movement. Where I’m encountering problems is with BTC: during startup it doesn’t buy the required amount for the active orders, and I’ve had to manually purchase the necessary BTC so the bot could create the sell orders. However, once these are executed, they aren’t recreated, and I receive the following error: “Error: Not enough balance Order id: ---------, side: sell, price - 115631, order type: grid order, balance total - 0 BTC, free - 0 BTC, required - 0.00018 BTC.” This happens even during startup. In the startup phase, if I don’t have BTC in my wallet, I also get this error, which might be the main cause of the malfunction: “Error: order 0: price must be divisible by tick size. asset=10142.” I look forward to your response. Thanks for your support.
Hello! We have received your detailed bug report regarding the Grid Bot issues with BTC on Hyperliquid Terminal. We appreciate you bringing these to our attention and will update you shortly.
From the information gathered, it appears you are experiencing two primary problems:
- Insufficient Balance Error: The bot is showing an “Error: Not enough balance” message, indicating it can’t execute sell orders due to lacking the required BTC. This happens both at startup and when attempting to recreate orders.
- Price Tick Size Error: You are also encountering an “Error: order 0: price must be divisible by tick size” during startup if you don’t have BTC in your wallet. We’ve seen similar reports where this error, particularly related to order size and decimal places, appeared suddenly for users whose bots had been running fine previously.
We are actively investigating these issues. To help us, could you please provide the URL of the problematic BTC Grid Bot? This will allow us to examine its specific configuration and logs.
