This one will probably started next week. But looking at the ways to do it, I think that doing a combo hedge will be way easier than a dca one with âfill the gapâ feature. The fill the gap requires a lot of logic and can result in tons of out of funds bot when the bot is trying to fill the gap while the user wasnât counting on the extra funds needed.
We could do a dca without filling the gap. But in my opinion the combo will be better equipped to make this strategy because it doesnât leave gaps like the dca.
Iâve been using combos for hedging for a long time Accumulation/Distribution Combo Strategy. I think we had some discussions about doing it with combos vs dcas but I donât remember any convincing argument in favor of the dca other than âit needs less fundsâ. But the reason why it needs less funds is because the gaps it creates, while the combo doesnât at the expense of requiring more funds. But at least you know beforehand how much funds will be necessary, while the fill the gap dca is not so straightforward (canât lock funds beforehand like the combo does, it will be a mess with out of funds errors).

If we can test this with combo bots I think this is already a step forward. With this great community there will be a lot of feedback on some improvements. after a while we can always look at how we could eventually apply this to DCA bots?

Not yet but I hope it will be ready in the next 2-3 weeks.
