Newbie need help understanding 4 grids types of GAINIUM COMBO bot

Let me help understand all 4 grids. Lets talk about simple combo BTC bot thats has five DCA orders for 50 USDT (for 5 % change) and 5 USDT grid orders for 1% change so it is more clear. So it is most simple 450 USDT BTC combo bot. Lets talk now about 4x types of grids.

  1. Base Minigrid:
  • Set ABOVE starting order
  • Settings: 5% range, 5 levels, 1% steps
  • 5 USDT trades
  • Once completed, bot restarts at new level (ASAP)
  • This is our primary profit-taking grid
  1. DCA Grid:
  • Large buys (50 USDT)
  • Every 5% down
  • Maximum 5 orders
  • Main accumulation strategy
  1. DCA Minigrid:
  • Created ABOVE each DCA entry (so because of that there is dead zone between starting order and first dca order where happens nothing)
  • Small trades (like base minigrid)
  • Helps recover after DCA buys
  • Works like mini profit-taking grid
  1. Active Minigrids (Beta):
  • Creates grids BOTH ways?
  • Replaces or modifies other grid behaviors?
  • Still unclear exactly how it interacts?

Looking for some help here.

I think I get it now those active minigrids they eliminate those dead zones …

  • Places buy orders BELOW current price immediately
  • Same size as other minigrids (5 USDT)
  • Works alongside DCA orders
  • Eliminates “dead zones”
  • Purpose: Enable continuous trading without waiting for DCA
  • Key Points
    • Without Active Minigrids: Only trades above entry until DCA triggers
    • With Active Minigrids: Trades both directions immediately while maintaining DCA safety net

Still do not know if it is good or bad …

Yes your interpretation is correct. Active Minigrids create grids (buy) under price, without waiting for a DCA level. This eliminates the “Dead zone”, but in my experience the overall profitability is lower (it’s better to buy at every X% than on each level in the way down. You can backtest with and without to see the effect yourself.
