Bug details:

  • Bot URL → Gainium App V2
  • [Optional] Steps to reproduce → Having a bot using ton before today.
  • Expected result → Not sure this should be considered a bug or a feature. How does bot service support coin renaming. For me the ideal solution would be that the platform support it natively and trade the new coin especially if the exchange does not support the old coin anymore and convert asset 1 to 1 to the new coin.

Since you mentioned a bot, please ensure you’ve included the bot URL in your report. If you’re referring to a deal, kindly provide the deal ID as well.

Honestly maintaining internal mappings of old to new names is a source of edge case and logic we would rather not have to maintain. The workaround for renames is slightly inconvenient but clean: You can create an import order for the affected coin using the new name, the difference is managing it in the terminal instead of the bot.

Is there a way to manually edit the ticker and close the deal, or the best is maybe to close and recreate the bot in the new name.

The ticker cannot be renamed. What you can do is recreate the deal in the terminal as an import under the new ticker name, using the average price and quantity of the running deal. Once the deal has been imported, cancel the old one. From there on you can manage that deal in the terminal directly.
