Rome was not built in one day

This platform is so far the best platform. I have used other platforms like 3commas and cryptohopper as well. I have never encountered exchange connectivity issues on these two platforms. This single issue has caused my bot huge losses on different occasions on gainium. So my humble suggestion to @aressanch is that before adding new features please improve existing ones. Many people are reporting exchange connectivity issues when market suddenly moves down.

Last day i lost whopping 450 dollars because of this single issue, couple of weeks ago lost 100 dollars i think on 26 november. All the day i felt sad because of this loss. Is there a way this connectivity issue can be improved.

on which plattform have you been connected? I’m connected to Kucoin, Binance and Bybit and did not have issues so far but I have tonns of issues on my paper bots… every day there are errors regarding Position can not be closed due to not existing anymore and therefore I have not a good feeling to go live with some of my strategies.

Binance and bybit

Yeah, had also a bot running while maintenance which was not executing TP or SL on the last crash.
That resulted in some big red bags I’m still working on getting out, caused me a sleepless night.

My suggestion would be, but I guess it depends on the availability of the API functions of the exchange, to have an option to set the SL order directly on the exchange.

There are some pros and cons to this. Sometimes its nice that a short wick doesn’t stop out a good deal, on situations like the one on 9th Dec. I wish I got stopped out.

Beyond this, I fully agree with you that gainium is far best!
Did come back to my still running 3commas account two weeks ago to start some bots on Kraken felt like going back a century in time.

Most of the bugs we had lately are not problems in the code, they have to do with things like losing a connection of the price stream, or redis cache failing, etc. Those are bugs resulting from the software architecture rather than the code. We need to modify the system to add more robustness, with multiple connections, clusters of servers working together, database sharding, etc. Those are major changes that take longer to make and to test, because they affect the core of the app. So we have to be really careful, implement them slowly, and check their performance. We have already started working on server clusters, this will minimize issues with updating the app, as each cluster will restart independently and faster than one big unit. It will also help add stability in other ways.

So that’s the advantage of the older platforms, they’ve had years to work through those issues, while we are still discovering what it takes to scale. Our advantage is that we work closely with the community and evolve faster than them.

Thank you for your support and patience while we work through those issues.

As a co-owner an developer of an web based ERP System, I really can feel where you’re going thru! (And clustering brings a whole bunch of new challenges…)

Keep up the good work!

BTW, 3commas has also still some issues with kraken…

I am developer myself. We are also building a product from last 8 months didn’t market it yet because it is not fully ready. Still testing and improving before going live.

Unfortunately, there are many things which can’t get realistically testet, IMHO.
We had some situations, specially when using slow 3rd party vendor APIs, we never thought that could happen.
And real users could do real dumb things…

Your bot actually lost you money, or was this potential wins that you didnt get?

If lost, how was it lost? I only run DCA ASAP bots so they’re very dumb and don’t really have ability to lose money unless they don’t buy DCA correctly or sell at TP

They were loses but due to orders not getting filled losses became doubled. And i had to close them manually

If you have a beta version of it, I would be happy to test it if it uses Kraken.

That’s what I am using for kraken. But 3commas charges almost $40 a month for the lowest paid level. It is getting very hard to find a low cost trading bot to use with Kraken.
