Regarding @hunterwhalehunter’s current spot hedge One could also say that the strategy uses a less-than-half-in approach in uptrends, if we look at the sum of values in base currency. And it becomes an up-to-all-in approach in downtrends. (And of course, if the quote currency isn’t a stable coin, every strategy always is an all-in strategy from the start.)
