What is it that I have misunderstood?

TEMA 15 just crossed down below TEMA 20, and TEMA 300 is greater than TEMA 400, and still, the bot bought.

there was 15 crossing up 20, while 300 lower than 400
deal started on next candle after cross

at 17:22 utc dca order was filled, not deal started

Sorry about messing up the date. The correct date is the 7th of July.

I was looking at this deal:

TEMA 15 (red) crossed down through TEMA 20 (light blue) in the black circle, and TEMA 300 (dark blue) is then higher than TEMA 400 (yellow), while buying conditions are: TEMA 15 crossing up through TEMA 20, and TEMA 300 (dark blue) is lower than TEMA 400 (yellow). None of the buy conditions were filled. This order is still open, so it was a buy order.

What you are looking at is the DCA order is not start order of the deal.
Please unwind chart to deal start date

Are you saying that DCA buy orders are not using the same technical indicator as the start order to decide when to buy? If so, what do they use to decide when to place the order?

Of course they dont. Please refer to DCA section to see that actual settings. Mostly sure they placed in advance, check orders table.

Of course they must follow the strategy. I’m talking trade bots, not grid bots.

The given answer from [maksym.shamko] was completely incorrect.

If the bot is configured to only use conditions at deal start but not at DCA orders then, of course, the bot doesn’t check any conditions at DCA orders.

Scaled DCA orders are placed at precalculated distances from the price of the start order according to your scaling settings. They don’t check any conditions. For that, you would have to use Technical indicators.

This was for you. I was replying on the wrong message.
