I have a Tradebot based only on moving averages. During the last month it has delivered the following Daily averages: ENA 2.06%, SUI 2.39%, ARB 2.53%, APT 3.07 %, PENDLE 3.37%.
Is that good or bad? It is hard to know when you don’t have anything to compare with.
I think looking at the profit only is not a good way to tell if a strategy is good or bad. Also important is the level of risk.
But based on my observation, a good rule of thumb for a strategy is 0.2% daily, or 4-6% a month. If it’s less profit but less risk, that’s also OK, it really depends on each one. Also 30 days is probably not enough time to test it through several market conditions.
