Why do I have to sell TIA to get USDT for the bot to eventually buy TIA later?
This is what happened:
I was forced to sell TIA to be able to start the bot and the minute after the bot bought TIA.
Maybe because the bot cannot know at what price your TIA was bought and therefore might give wrong stats?
A short bot needs to sell base to place all buy orders in the grid and buy it back at cheaper prices; that’s how it makes a profit. It possible that the bot bought some TIA after start if the price quickly hit a buy line, but this wouldn’t be the full amount the bot sold.
If you want to bot to not perform aby action you should have balance enough at least for active sell and buy orders. Then you can update intitial price in bot settings. If you do not have enough balance, bot will do initial buy.
This was not a short bot.
